The Transactions of Zestful
There two payment types associated to using Zestful, and each happen at specific days each month:
- One to collect the allowance that your team will use on their cards.
- One to collect the Zestful fee ($5/card/month).
- When a new employee signs up, Zestful will collect both their allowance for the month + the first $5 card fee.
Zestful Subscription (1st of the month)
The cost of using Zestful is $5 per card, per month. For example, if you have a team of 20 people, this charge will be $100 (20 people x $5).
Zestful Allowance (Date depends on funding source)
This transaction pulls the total potential allowance amount that can be used the following month. For example, if you have a team of 20 people and give them $50 to spend each month, Zestful will pull $1,000 (20 people x $50). This money isn't touched by Zestful, and is strictly used to cover the spending of your employees for the month.
Any allowance amount that goes unused in a given month will roll over to the next month, and Zestful will pull the difference. For example, if $800 of your total potential $1,000 allowance is spent, Zestful will automatically roll over the remaining $200 and pull $800 via ACH to top the allowance account back to $1,000.
If you were to ever cancel Zestful, this money goes right back to you (since there is no more allowances being used).
If you connected your account through ACH (PLAID), this transaction occurs around 8 days before the end of the month (to give plenty of time for the transaction to settle). If you connected your account using a debit card, this transaction occurs around 3 days before the end of the month (to give plenty of time for the transaction to settle)
Transactions for New Employees
When a new employee signs up for Zestful we will immediately collect their potential allowance so that they will have a settled balance to use once their card arrives ~10 days later. We also immediately charge the $5 Zestful fee.
